As a stay at home mom to kids too small to be in school, I tell myself “summer will be so relaxed - no pressure to take all the trips and do all the things while kids are out of school.” Well, somehow my easy-breezy no-plan summer has rushed by and here we are a half way through the summer and I’m just now starting on this post. So let’s get right down to it. Whether your kids are in school or not, whether you planned a busy summer or not, we just don’t have time for extra fluff. Good thing this isn’t a recipe blog, huh? (Joke.)
June’s cleaning list is just a repeat of things you’ve already done. The big items are washing curtains and windows, turning the mattress, and changing toothbrushes. The mattress turning and toothbrush changing (spoiler alert) happens every three months. So if the number of the month is divisible by three you will be doing these things. For a more detailed description of turning the mattress, check out the March post. It’s kind of a weird thing to write about and read about, so I really suggest you check out the “Bed” highlight on my Instagram.
Now for the curtain washing: if you don’t open your windows in the spring, you can skip this one. I live for open window weather. My toddlers (which, if you don’t know, toddlers=something sticky is always on them) like to play hide and seek behind the curtains. We wash our curtains. But if those things don’t apply to you, skip the hassle of step ladders and just wash once a year.
Alright, folks. That’s it for June. Check out the pdf below, and have a great summer!
